Ebby was initially adopted 3 years ago from Indianapolis Animal Care and Control only to be returned recently with a tumor. With his age of 10 years and the tumor, the shelter knew they were beyond their ability to care for this guy, so they reached out to MHR for help.

One of our amazing foster homes stepped up to take Ebby. He went to the vet to see what, if anything, could be done about his tumor. Coupled with his age, surgery would be risky and possibly not beneficial. Ebby joined our Friends of Gladys program in October 2015 to spend his remaining days safe and loved.

Ebby spent the next 8 months living life to the fullest. He was able to complete his bucket list before he was called to the rainbow bridge in August 2016. His last wish was granted – he was officially adopted by his foster mom before he passed on.
