Molly came into Mended Hearts Rescue in June 2016 when she and her two Dachshund siblings found themselves at Columbus Animal Services after their owner passed away.a70ae21f-b758-41e1-b7b1-a998a3071135

We are SO EXCITED to announce that Miss Molly has found more than a forever home — she now has a job!

She will be assisting resident veterans at The Journey Home while they recover and learn necessary life and job skills. The Journey Home is a transitional shelter for homeless veterans who want to get back on their feet.

They recently lost their resident dog and the residents and staff were missing the canine companionship. Of course, we all know the healing effect that pets can have and we at Mended Hearts Rescue were only too happy to assist in their search for another resident dog.

Molly happened to be perfect for this assignment due to her love of people (especially men), her good nature, and propensity toward snuggling. Because we so believe in their mission, we were thrilled to waive the adoption fee for this wonderful organization.

PS – Molly’s siblings Ozzie and Olivia have happy tails too – Ozzie has been adopted and Olivia is living out her life in our Friends of Gladys program.
