Mended Hearts Rescue, Inc. is an IRS designated 501(c)(3) animal rescue formed in 2010 to serve homeless animals in the Indianapolis area who need a little extra TLC. We have a network of volunteer foster homes where animals receive medical, behavioral, and emotional care until they are placed with loving families.
We are 100% volunteer run, and 100% publicly supported.
We work with shelters and vet clinics all around Indiana to save the highest risk animals. All animals in our care reside in foster homes.
Our team works diligently to promote our available animals, and carefully screens potential adopters to ensure a great fit for both people and pet.
Our Forever Foster program gives terminally ill or senior pets a loving home for the rest of their lives with one of our hospice homes.
